Paul & Pippa: It Tastes Good, and You Know What's in It

Paul & Pippa: It Tastes Good, and You Know What's in It

Do you have a best friend? Are you in a romantic relationship? Do you have a favourite book series or a movie? Chances are, you probably do, and you would not give those people or things for anything in this world. But what was it about those things or people that drew you in?

We all have personal taste. As the saying goes – “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” and what is considered attractive by one person might be unattractive to another. There are many things that can influence our perception of someone or something.

Look, smell, posture, shape, size, personality, we judge and value everything. It is who we are as a species, and it is not necessarily a bad thing. It should be in everybody’s interest to present themselves in the best light possible, as that first impression can make-or-break a relationship, friendship, partnership etc.

Think about it. If you were looking for a partner, would you not dress nicely, maybe put on a nice perfume? You probably would. Your chances of finding that special someone would be low otherwise. But that does not mean that it is impossible.

As the saying goes – “you should not judge a book by its cover”, and it is true. We should give everybody a chance. Sometimes, someone or something that does not look appealing can turn out to be a chance of a lifetime. Go and talk to your co-worker or go on that crazy-looking rollercoaster. You might find that you have more in common than you thought or that you are an adrenaline junkie.

We mentioned that posture can leave a pretty big impression on someone the first time you meet them. Body language has an important role and it can tell a lot about your personality. For instance, if you are hunched, do not look somebody in the eyes and have a weak handshake, it means that you are probably sensitive, emotional or otherwise scared in such situations.

But what does ANY of this have to do with biscuits? The one food that we adore and write so much about? How can a biscuit look good or have a great personality? Is it possible to have a romantic relationship with a biscuit?!

Well… there have been cases where some people have married chicken nuggets or slices of pizza. So, yeah… it is probably possible. But that is not why we are here. We might be a biscuit magazine, but we do not love biscuits in that way.

But still, the question remains… what does any of this have to do with biscuits? Well, we here at Biscuit People have the pleasure of reviewing and writing about a large number of biscuit types, brands and companies. Each is great in its own way, and every biscuit that we write about leaves some kind of an impression on us.

But nothing, and we mean nothing, could have prepared us for the amazing Paul and Pippa biscuits. Why? Well… You probably have a favourite brand of biscuits, don’t you? You probably like those biscuits because of their taste. But do they have their own stories? Do they have their own personalities?

Paul and Pippa is a biscuit brand from Spain with a portfolio of exquisitely made biscuits. But what separates their biscuits from the rest are… well, their character. In other words, they are so well branded and marketed that they represent a truly unique experience in an otherwise saturated market.

And you will see why soon enough… we do not want to spoil the experience for you. Let us just say that these biscuits are different and unique, in a (really) good way! Who knows… maybe you will fall in love with them just like we did, but… promise us you will not try and marry them, will you?

It is this innovative approach to biscuit marketing that tells us that this is a passion project, and not just a simple cash-grab because biscuits are always in demand. It can be seen from the amount of hard-work put into these cookies. But you do not have to take our word for it. You can reach a conclusion of your own.

Anyways… it is time to introduce you to the first member of the Paul and Pippa family – Cocoa Chips!

Paul & Pippa: Cocoa Chips!

Hi! My name is Cocoa Chips! I am a part of the Paul and Pippy family, and I consider myself to be the coolest girl around here. I am a fusion of cocoa in olive oil which is hinted with salt flakes. I love strawberries. Strawberries are the best. Strawberries are the reason why I have so many followers on social media and why so many bloggers want to follow me!

No… the author of the article has not lost his mind. At least not yet… the above paragraph is a part of this particular biscuit’s personality, which is in turn part of a larger narrative. As we can see, Cocoa Chips is the coolest girl in the Paul and Pippa family. There are many more members that we will cover, but she is the first member that is introduced to us.

As we can see from her short bio, she is a young girl who keep up with all the modern trends. The reason why Cocoa was chosen as the ingredient to represent her (or vice-versa) could be because of the ingredient’s popularity. Cocoa is an “ever-green” ingredient that can easily adapt to all the modern trends in the food industry.

This is reflected in her love for the social media. She is the type of girl that everybody likes, people young and old. Her character is almost a cliché, yet she can fit into any timeline. And if you know anything about hipster or blogger culture, you will know that they like to take ordinary things and modify them by adding “their own touch”.

Hence her extra-sweet combo with strawberries. Combine these two and you have a win-win situation. As for the technicalities… these biscuits contain gluten and traces of dairy and mustard.

Paul and Pippa: Me & Ma

We all love our mothers! They carried us in their wombs, they gave birth to us, they nurtured and cared for us. They raised us and they are always there when we need them. But that does not mean that we have to agree with them on everything or be completely alike!

You can hear some people say that opposites attract each other. This can sometimes be true, but we believe that people who are inherently different from each other cannot function together. A pair of people need to have the same mentality, but it is their minor differences that complement each other.

For example, someone’s mother might not be good with electronics or technology in general. That is where we, the younger generations, come in and help them learn these new skills. But at the same time, they have been tempered by both grief and sadness, happiness and love, and thus have more experience in these matters.

They aid and give us guidance with their experience from the past, while we help them in their golden age with our knowledge of the future. It is a win-win situation, as is the same with Me & Ma biscuits, a match made in heaven.

Me & Ma biscuits are freshly baked cakes, where one is sweet while the other is spicy. They are united by “scrumptious love” although they differ from each other. As we have showed with our example above, these differences do not have to cancel each other out. The ingredients in the biscuits are different, but they mix well together and create something extraordinary.

And these biscuits can stand on their own or be accompanied by nuts or bananas. These biscuits represent the loving duality between a mother and her child that is present in almost every family. These biscuits also contain gluten, dairy and mustard.

Paul and Pippa: Coconut Valley

Coconut. Ugh… Such a basic ingredient, am I right? No? You love it? Well, of course, you love it to! We do as well! But you have to admit though… it can be found pretty much everywhere. Coconut soap, coconut toothpaste, coconut oil, coconut this, coconut that… everybody loves the damn thing and now it is everywhere!

How can a biscuit that uses such a basic ingredient be in any way innovative or unique? Well, this is represented in the biscuit’s character. It can sometimes be hard to feel unique. After all, we live on a planet with over seven billion people, so chances are that we might act “ordinary” most of the time.

But everyone is unique in their own, it is just that most of us are not even aware of it or do not know how to express it. It is the same with this family member. Coconut might appear like an ordinary guy, but deep down he is creative, smart and charming. You just have to give him a chance and release his “inner Casanova” and bam… you’ve got one heck of a biscuit.

Coconut will take you to places you have never even dreamed of. Combine him with caviar, truffles or champagne, and you will see just how much he can rock your world. But, if you are not feeling so adventurous and want to take things slow, you can always enjoy him by himself. He will still be just as good.

Every biscuits tells its own narrative, and each character was specifically chosen for its ingredient. With just a little bit of thinking, we can easily deduce why this or that type of biscuits has such a personality and so on.

Paul and Pippa: Lime After Time

Have you ever been attracted by a highly independent person or someone playing hard to get? What was it that you found attractive on them? Was it their can-do attitude or the fact that you like a challenge?

Whatever the reason may be, such people are usually found to be very attractive. It is because they project an aura of confidence and power around themselves. The next member of the family, Lime After Time, is exactly like that.

These biscuits are very independent. Their carefree attitude allows them to come up with a plan at the last minute that allows them to live their life to the fullest, and it always turns out good for them! Does this ring a bell? We all know of that particular person who seems like he has been blessed by the universe which showers him or her with fortune.

Does this good luck come from their approach to life or is their attitude a consequence of a care-free lifestyle, none can say for sure. The only thing that is for certain is that they attract good things, and the same can be said for Lime After Time.

Paul and Pippa: Lady Carrot

By all means a lady, she is the introverted one in her family. She is natural, fresh and tender, just like a carrot just out of the ground, implied by her name! But… there is more to her than meets the eye!

Introverts everywhere, unite! Most people think we are silent and like to keep to ourselves. While this can be true, the majority of us are talkative and like to hang out with people… specific, chosen people. We do not like wasting our energy on just anyone, but those who are able to “break the ice” find themselves a lifelong companion.

The same is with Lady Carrot. While she is tender, she is also bold and passionate about her beliefs. Although a simple carrot, she can be just as captivating as a mix of the most exotic ingredients available. She seeks balance in all things, and thus walks a middle road between tradition and modernity

The Lady Carrot biscuits go great with mascarpone or honey, but they also taste amazing on their own.

And that would be it for today! We have covered the entire family tree. Quite a diverse family, wouldn’t you agree? What we have seen today is something unique in the biscuit industry. Don’t get us wrong, there are many great biscuits in the industry, but none come close to the level of personalisation found in this brand!

We fell in love with them the moment we saw them. They are quirky and look amazing, and they have amazing backstories. We hope you liked the article as much as we liked writing about these biscuits. It was certainly a unique experience. Now excuse while we go order an entire batch of these! Be sure that you do too! Cheers until next time!
