Hard Biscuits

As already happened in the field of the rollers production, since earlier this year we are witnessing a change also in the inquiries we’ve been receiving for the machines and the equipment for the manufacturing of biscuits.

The current uncertain period is probably leading the consumers to reduce the money they spend for purchasing biscuits and snacks in general (which, as of today, may be regarded as “luxury items”) – for this reason, people tend to choose simple and basic biscuits (for breakfast mainly) rather than tempting and attractive biscuits, which are often enrobed, filled, decorated…and also more expensive.

As a consequence, we’ve been noticing a revival of those we call “hard biscuits”, which, opposite to the “soft ones” (richer in butter), are produced with poorer ingredients and can be therefore sold at a lower price and in big provision packages.

But the less appeal doesn’t mean less taste!

Hard biscuits have always been breakfast’s favorites as they’re perfect to be dunked or melted into coffee or milk.

We as Padovani can offer rotary cutting machines and equipment for the production of hard biscuits and crackers.

The machines are available from a working width of 600mm up to 1500mm and are composed of:

THREE ROLLERS FORMING UNIT

- Two upper rollers, dia. 240 mm, one smooth roller and one grooved roller, made of rectified and hardened stainless steel

- Lower smooth roller dia. 240 mm, of rectified and hardened stainless steel

- Independent gear motor for the pulling of the rollers

- Painted steel frame with thickness of 30 mm, where housing and connections for rollers, for the motor and for the different regulation systems are located

- Carters made of AISI 304 stainless steel

- Hooper in stainless steel with lateral shoulders in food grade plastic material

- Distance between rollers adjustable through a handwheel with position marker

- Conveyor belt with proper and independent engine for the transfer of the dough sheet to the following machine/ station

1st LAMINATION UNIT

- Rollers dia. 240 mm made of hardened and rectified stainless steel

- Painted steel frame with thickness of 30 mm, where housing and connections for rectified rollers, for the motor and for the different regulation systems are located.

- Distance between rollers adjustable through a handwheel with position marker

- Conveyor belt with proper and independent engine for the transfer of the dough sheet to the following machine/ station

- Carters made of AISI 304 stainless steel

2nd LAMINATION UNIT

- Rollers dia. 240 mm made of hardened and rectified stainless steel

- Painted steel frame with thickness of 30 mm, where housing and connections for rectified rollers, for the motor and for the different regulation systems are located.

- Distance between rollers adjustable through a handwheel with position marker

- Conveyor belt with proper and independent engine for the transfer of the dough sheet to the following machine/ station

- Carters made of AISI 304 stainless steel

3rd LAMINATION UNIT (OPTIONAL)

- Rollers dia. 240 mm made of hardened and rectified stainless steel

- Painted steel frame with thickness of 30 mm, where housing and connections for rectified rollers, for the motor and for the different regulation systems are located.

- Distance between rollers adjustable through a handwheel with position marker

- Conveyor belt with proper and independent engine for the transfer of the dough sheet to the following machine/ station

- Carters made of AISI 304 stainless steel

RELAXATION CONVEYOR BELT

- Motorised conveyor belt with reduced speed for the relaxation of the dough tension

ROTARY CUTTING MACHINE WITH ONE OR TWO ROLLERS

- Conveyor belt with proper and independent engine equipped with centering system of the conveyor belt

- Air blowers unit

- Rotary cutting head with N° 01 (roller with cutting and embossing function together) or N° 02 rollers (one roller for cutting function and one roller for embossing function together). Machine equipped with rollers (diameter approx. 170 mm), with interchangeable rings in alimentary anti-sticking plastic material, engraved with a shape on customer’s choice.

- High precision synchronization system for cutting and embossing rollers, adjustable through a handwheel with position marker

- Contrast rubber rollers which exert pressure on rotary cutting rollers

- Painted steel frame with thickness of 30 mm, where rollers supports and engine are located.

- Carters made of AISI 304 stainless steel

DOUGH SCRAPS COLLECTION UNIT

- Conveyor belt for scraps collection, equipped with independent gear motor and driven by inverter, height regulation of the nose

- Transversal conveyor belt, equipped with independent gear motor and driven by inverter, for the unloading of the dough scraps, with independent gear motor

- Lateral conveyor belt equipped with independent gear motor and driven by inverter, for dough scraps return

- Extensible conveyor belt equipped with independent gear motor and driven by inverter, for dough scraps distribution in the hopper

DELIVERY BRIDGE TO THE OVEN

- Conveyor belt equipped with independent gear motor, to deliver the biscuits to the oven or to the following stations

- The delivery bridge can be replaced by a by-pass conveyor belt in case a rotary moulding machine (or any other forming machine) is placed
