Founded on June 7, 1975, the Brazilian Association of Food Engineering (ABEA) , a non-profit civil entity, was born from the commitment to unite professionals, teachers, researchers and students around the strengthening and appreciation of Food Engineering in Brazil.
At that historic moment, a visionary group recognized the importance of a national entity that would represent the sector, promote technical and scientific exchange, and stimulate the development of the food sector in a country of continental dimensions and great agro-industrial potential.
Since then, ABEA has been working continuously in collaboration with educational institutions, professional councils, the productive sector and public bodies, always guided by ethics, knowledge and innovation.
More than a date, June 7, 1975 represents the starting point of a trajectory built with dedication, dialogue and commitment to society.
